hi guys,
it's me and my link classes problem again.

this time i've done up a basic page with the link classes i need - i've just specified 2 diff link classes, being "anchor" and "nav". somehow they are not showing up right at all.

the page is at:

http://www.oldcurio.com/test/testcss.html

<style type="text/css">

a:link
{
	font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
    font-color: #EC16B2;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-decoration: none;
}
a:visited
{
    font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-color: #8E8E8E;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-decoration: none;
}
a:hover
{
    font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-color: #31B312;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-decoration: none;
}
a:active
{
    font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-color: #EC16B2;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-decoration: none;
}

.text
{
	font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-size: 12px;
	font-color: #000000;
	text-decoration: none;
}

a.nav:link

{
	font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-size: 12px;
	font-color: #FD7D00;
	text-decoration: none;
}

a.nav:visited

{
	font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-size: 12px;
	font-color: #222222;
	text-decoration: none;
}

a.nav:hover

{
	font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-size: 12px;
	font-color: #3AD81A;
	text-decoration: none;
}

a.nav:active

{
	font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-size: 12px;
	font-color: #99862F;
	text-decoration: none;

}

a.anchor:link

{
	font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-size: 11px;
	font-color: #FD7D00;
	text-decoration: none;
}

a.anchor:visited

{
	font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-size: 11px;
	font-color: #222222;
	text-decoration: none;
}

a.anchor:hover

{
	font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-size: 11px;
	font-color: #3AD81A;
	text-decoration: none;
}

a.anchor:active

{
	font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
	font-size: 11px;
	font-color: #99862F;
	text-decoration: none;

}
</style>

i was previously advised to code it in a different way but being the duh person that i am, i really did not understand how to revise it.

help! i thought it would be a straightforward thing but none of the styles are working like it should. i really need to get this css thing working right.

then there is the other problem of it not working at all on a Mac (IE v5.4) Shock

thanks for your help in advance!

===link classes - perpetual problem - help!===

Use color not font-color

Is it just the colours that are not right?

Also
Group things to reduce repetition and make it easier to read, I.E. something like.

a, a:link, a:visited, a:hover, a:active
{
   font-family: Arial,Verdana,Sans Serif;
   color: #EC16B2;
   font-weight: bold;
   text-decoration: none;
}

a:visited
{
   color: #8E8E8E;
}
a:hover
{
   color: #31B312;
}
a:active
{
   color: #EC16B2;
}
