I just bought a pair of "in ear" monitors from Sennheiser for listening to my iPod. What amuses me is the model name - IE8!
They also make models IE6 and IE7. The "IE" stands for "in ear" as I said.
Anyway the IE8's are seriously good and turn the iPod into a high end sound system with really fabulous sound. "In ear" monitors are the big thing in the headphone world these days and Sennheiser have joined in the fray. As befits high end equipment these are seriously expensive - I paid $429.00 Canadian for tiny headphones you stick deep in your ears.
If you are into high quality sound you could do worse, but you can also get cheaper ones for around a hundred or so that are darned near as good.
But I find the naming coincidence fairly amusing. Next time someone complains about IE6 I will ask if they mean the headphones or the browsers.
How do you keep those things
How do you keep those things IN your ears? Earbud-type things tend to fall out of mine.
Finally, something excellent with the name "IE".

The IE8's come with a whole selection of tips and you try them all until you find the ones that work best. They do take some getting used to.
