How do I get rid of the borders that appear on focus? The image below is a screenshot of what :focus looks like. I dont want that border to appear.

Lawlz, cause they're not borders. It's called outline. If it's focussable, that means people can do something with it? Is is clickable? If so, what's happening on :hover? Replace outline with whatever else you want to let the keyboarders know where they're focussed on (you already know this I think).

I saw Gary post a Javascript answer for :active (since some browsers leave the :focus on whoever was last clicked) but I don't know where it is off the top of my head.

I'm no expert, but I fake one on teh Internets

Ahhh!

outline: 0; worked!! The icons will be clickable. And I need to be using :active, not :focus. You are correct on both points.
