Makes quite an interesting read, though if any of them are looking for a new job I'd recommend politics Cool

Yes, I see what you mean Seb. How to spend a lot of time saying nothing (in measures that defy belief). I particularly like this one...

Host: Bruce (Microsoft)
Q: ali : Why aren't Microsoft's own pages programmed according to w3c standards?
A: There are numerous teams doing Microsoft's hundreds of sites. Like developers everywhere, they choose for themselves what's important. There's no central directive saying how to build a web page.

That really make eye larf Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

What a bunch of tos... :-# :-# :-#

IE MS chat

You just have to laugh how the heck did they ever get to the position of power that they have - oh yes I forgot through very dubious methods I love the reply to the lack of PNG support Laughing out loud brings to mind an article I read somewhere by a developer explaining how straight forward it would be to include and for how long MS had been avoiding the issue, wish I could remember where I read it!

IE MS chat

Fact is they SHOULD have a central directive on how to build a webpage. NYPL and Mozilla do, to name just two.

IE MS chat

<rant>The whole Micro$oft culture and ethos makes me laugh and cry at the same time. Being a 'mac man' since the eighties, and more recently a follower of the 'unix way', every time I have to sit in front of a Windoze machine to help a client, a chill runs up my neck and a feeling of dread fills my head. As for the consultants that push Windoze machines to their clients (and I count many among my group of friends): it's easy money and they don't have to bother with such mundane things as understanding what they're doing at anything other than superficial levels ...at least that's the general opinion of most of my PC/IT friends! Ho hum, at least this forum seems to have a good crop of people that care about detail and standards and functionality and usability - all the things that seem somewhat foreign to Micro$oft.</rant>
