I have a simple flash movie in a floated div. When I mouse-over a menu item (separate div), there is a flicker of the movie like it is moving up really fast as if something is being redrawn. This only occurs in Win Moz and FF. Win/IE is fine and all Mac browsers I've tested. If I remove the float, it's fine. The XHTML and CSS both validate.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I think it is being redrawn. Try this:

#flash {
	padding-right: 0;
	margin-left: auto;
	margin-right: 15%;
	width: 250px;
	height: 215px;
	float: none;
}

then adjust the immediately following divs to have margin-top: -215px;

(edited to correct a typo.)

All the good sigs were taken.

Win/Moz and FF flicker problem

Thanks kojiro, I'll use that for now. I'm still curious as to WHY it was being redrawn.
