I created this website. Works fine on Mozzila and Fire Fox and some versions of IE. All pages passed validation. It is Html 4 Transitional.

The bug:

In IE 7 it won't scroll down all the way and the pages get cut off.

Can anyone take a look and advise on what the error or coding error maybe?

thanks!

sure.
perhaps you will show us the code or a link so we can look at it... we are still working on our psychic powers, but so far all results have been minimal.

Nice to see valid html, but

Nice to see valid html, but you should be using a STRICT doctype for a bew page, not transitional. And you have an error in your CSS.

It looks OK to me in IE7 on my system, but I didn't go to every page. Maybe you could specify what page shows the problem in IE7, because I don't feel like searching all of them. Much too lazy for that.

You should learn modern semantic coding methods. A Menu is a list of links and should be marked up as a list, not a bunch of A elements separated by BRs like you have. Take a look at "Listamatic" for some ideas. Menus in lists are easy to do and more robust across browsers.

IE bugs

Thanks Guru! I will check out Listamatic and fix that as well...

The pages in question is about Us and Treatment.

About Us:

The links to the anchors (photos anchored to resume on bottom of the page won't work nor will it scroll on some IE broswers I believe it was IE 7.

same with Treatment page.

view it using firefox which works fine then view it using IE it may not.

In regards to Transitional and strict. I had it strict but the issue is the Target tag is deprecated in strict. Is there a way to fix that if I switch it to strict?

instead of using name=""

instead of using name="" just use id="" and link everything the same way

<div id="lower">

Don't get mislead by the title the system gives me. It gives anyone with more than 2000 posts the "guru" appelation but that says more about persistance than wisdom!

thanks Everyone!

Thank you!

Next question:

I am creating a website that will require drop down menu's to retreive database.

Example:

Drop down Menu: Find a Restaurant nearest you

Whats the best way to do this?

I'm a newbie. Now I know there are different ways. PHP, ASP, Javascript arrays

Can anyone suggest fast easy way of creating the tables and function to call etc... Or guide me to a website that will school this young Web-I!

thanks!

I think it was just over 2000 when my status changed. Maybe they have to do a system database cleanup for it to take effect.
