Hi padlius, I may not

Hi padlius,
I may not understand your question correctly.
If your images are in the images directory you need to add <img src="/images/NarutoZoneBanner01.jpg"> you should also specify a width, height and alt but that's another story.

Do you have a server? There

Do you have a server? There are places who have servers whose services you can use (an example is GoDaddy, or YourHosting, or whatever is in your country). If you have a place on a server you can upload your page to, not only could everyone easily see your code, but you would also upload your images there too, and it would be easier to help you get the images to show.

C:\\whatever\whatever isn't valid. Go to any web page on the Internet and look at their code. You'll never see the image src starting with a Windows drive. It'll never start with C:\\whatever\whatever. That's a local file on your own computer. We can't see any files on your computer. You can't see any files sitting on my computer, or Tony's computer, either. If your files are sitting on a public server, though, then everyone with internet access can see them.

Most of the people asking for help here have a web site sitting on a server already. We can see the code, and help figuer out what the problems are.

It can be frustrating but that's computers for you : ) But if you don't give up, we CAN figure it out.

Thx i didnt gave up i

Thx i didnt gave up i actually made it work. I had to write in src=/images/button01.png thats all whohoo, i got money for domain no worries, but the one I want is not gonna be free next 3 months but i believe that site wont be used its never been used since last 9 months. It expires in 3 months.
But I have a few questions:

1. I got a banner which works fine but im wondering could i possibly make it randomize for e.g. if a person opens home page once its banner 01 if he opens it another time it gets 05 or another one.

2. Could I make a forum inside a site, in other words keeping site without making another link to forum.

I reckon given the level of technical proficiency you've demonstrated in your posts so far, that setting up a forum may be a bit beyond you at present. Smile

It means that you have just

It means that you have just managed to prove the aforementioned assertion, hope that was helpful.

My young friend we can help but you will need to calm down a little, stop the txt speak, explain things carefully and understand that we are not going to let you run before you can walk, and at this present stage you are barely crawling.

It's great that you want to learn as much as possible and quickly as possible but a lot of the stuff you want to know about takes a fair bit of time and study to get to a basic proficient level with, so patience and application are absolute required virtues.

To explain to you how to merge a forum into a static site layout at this stage would be pointless, get the basics under your belt then progress on.

BTW do you mind if a ask how old you are?

If you are serious about

If you are serious about site development and feel that you are going to require help from time to time then it might make sense to find some free web hosting which you can use to serve your pages so that people such as ourselves on forums can see what you are working with and where the problems are. Work through some basic good tutorial sites (might have already been mentioned) htmldog is the one that we tend to mention most as it's very well written and easy to follow.

Have a look in the 'How To'

Have a look in the 'How To' section of the forum as there are some useful guides on various subjects one of which is Doctypes, give it a read and if there are questions afterwards ask away and we'll endeavour to answer them and clear up any confusion you may still have about them.

You mean the thing in the top right of every page? The box with the button that says "Search"?
