The text in my center large DIV pours out of it rather than enlarge it. does anyone know how to force the DIV to grow with it? On a side note, does IE respect the min-height??

How to force text to enlarge its containing DIV.

IE doesn't respect the min-height.

Can we see your main DIV, or at least the code to go with it? By default DIVs should grow depending on the contents...

You know you're a geek when you try to shoo a fly away from the monitor with your cursor.

Unfortanetly "grow" is not an option of the "Overflow" property, the options are
"visible" - which allows content to 'flow out' of the container -- IE5 used to mess this up and expand the container.
"hidden" - hides the part which doesn't fit
"scroll" - puts scrollbars arround the container ( looks like an <iframe> )
"auto" - scroll when neccessary

I reckon that "grow" needs to added as a suitable value ASAP ... maybe thats the implicit intention of "max-height" etc. which are atill predominantely unsupported ?

Off the top of my head it sounds like you have declared a fixed height for the div or are missing a display relative declaration, pretty hard to say without seeing the code. :-k
