Ok first of all, this is my first time pushing away from tables. Been looking for a fix to this for a few days now, my site is http://www.buddinglunacy.net/am-new/ the image under the text box has a 2px gap at the top.

If I remove the 2 text boxes completely the problem goes away. Here is my code and css for the relative areas:

<div class="login"><IMG SRC='images/am-banner8.jpg' ALT='Banner8'><IMG SRC='images/am-login-button1.jpg' ALT='Login'><INPUT TYPE="image" SRC='images/am-login-button2.jpg' ALT='Login'><IMG SRC='images/am-login-spacer.jpg' ALT='Spacer'><IMG SRC='images/am-login-user.jpg' ALT='User'><INPUT class="editbox" TYPE="text" NAME="userid"><IMG SRC='images/am-login-pass.jpg' ALT='Password'><INPUT class="editbox" TYPE="text" NAME="userid"></div>
<div><IMG class="banner9" SRC='images/am-banner9.jpg' ALT='Banner9'></div>

img { border: 0; }
body { background-color: #161616; font: normal normal normal 11px tahoma; color: white }
div { width: 902px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; margin: 0 auto; }
div.login { background-image: url('images/am-login-bg.jpg'); background-repeat: repeat-x; }
input.editbox { border-style: solid; border-width: 1px; border-color: #004169; background-color: #075F91; width: 145px; vertical-align: 10px; }

Borders

It's your borders, you have them all screwed up.
.titlecell and .titledate dont need bottom borders. Your .newscell doesnt need top border. If you are in fact talking about the 2px gap between title and dates on the right side.

P.S, get your CSS to validate

My CSS was validating until

My CSS was validating until I started messing with it to try to fix the issue. It's not the gap on the title/dates. I forgot to mention this is an IE bug (yes that probably would have helped). If you open the website in IE and look at the trail for the A in AM just below the login panel is the gap I'm talking about (between am-banner9.jpg and am-banner9.jpg).

Thanks for the tip about the borders however.

Oh, i see now.

Thats weird. I saved the page and played with it for a bit. i took out the css code piece-by-piece to narrow the problem. I even stated taking XHTML out with no luck. Sorry dude, I'm no expert when it comes to bugs like this. try this URL, I didnt find anything that looks like this.
