Thank you for taking the time to assist me in this post. This is my first site that has ever used css.
I do know of 1 problem right now with the background not showing up during some instances of viewing. I am working to resolve this problem as we speak. If you do notice anything regarding that issue then please respond to my post at http://csscreator.com/node/32525.
I have HTML and CSS validated the site.
Please test in many different browsers. Any suggesting are greatly appreciated! I truly appreciate the time that someone would take to help a complete stranger.

Ok... where to begin...
Your main page validated, but even when you copy and paste (or generate via the server) other pages, you need to validate them as well.
I have this problem where whatever's in my little copy buffer (when I highlight something and ctrl+c) my mouse seems to unexpectedly paste that randomly... dunno if my fingers are triggering it or what... and anyway it usually fux0rz with my code, hard. And it takes me a while to find it, though usually it can't hide from the validator.
I clicked on another page, I think pottery, and got a Microsoft error.. now, whatever, that doesn't bother me but it made your page invalid-- it inserted nasty tags and now there's no closing body or html tags on that page. Because you have opening body and html tags, this is an error.

I browse with scripts off. This is nice for looking at web sites. I notice that the header foto of Sue reloads every single page I go to. This should get cached by my browser. Something is stopping it. This will increase bandwidth her hosting server uses if visitors are either: requesting that same image over and over, or getting a new image sent each page by a script. (and you made it a gif. possibly, a jpg could give you the same or better quality with less size, not sure)
In general, I wouldn't do the part of the document with the scripts first. I actually have started setting the content-type and charset first, even before the title. This tells bots and screen readers and gawds know who else which character set you're using even before trying to read the title. The other metas should come after that, then your links (

Thank you for your advice. I am working now on updating the site and putting them into place.
Question ... is it possible to do away with the image navigation that I have and still make use of the Tahoma font. I used imaged because they seemed to look better than text whenever I tried. Seeing as this is a website for an artist, I wanted to have everything looking very clean.
I got the background up and working. Check it out.
