Hello there

I'm lately doing an Information Architect role and now after some best practices or concepts in the web designing. Especially, I like to find some information about such as component architecture, optimized site designing methodology and seo-oriented site architecture.

If you know any of them, please let me know.

By the way, how are you learning and deepening your knowledge and skill of web architecture?

I would more appreciate your advice!

Thanks
-K

Wow! Open ended question.

Wow! Open ended question. IA is a broad field. If you don't have Information Architecture for the World Wide Web: Designing Large-Scale Web Sites in your library, get it.

Another book, one that shows where the IA fits into web development, is Web Project Management: Delivering Successful Commercial Web Sites.

The links point to Amazon's page on each.

Get and study anything on usability. IA is about making information available, and that's usability.

cheers,

gary

If your web page is as clever as you can make it, it's probably too clever for you to debug or maintain.

YES, it is very broad isn't it?

Well, I feel like studying about IA as a single subject sitting at Uni desk and discuss it with uni buddies.

Two books I've got, thanks very much!
I am reading Dr. Jacob Nielsen's web site as you pointed out, I also believe that usability is a key factor to IA.

If you know any of useful web sites, please do let me know.
I gotta now go to amazon,,,

Cheers,
