Hi
Is there any way to choose to view alternate stylesheets in Internet Explorer 6? Firefox has a button on the status bar, but I can't find an equivalent in IE...

I don't think there is, without some Javscripting.
http://www.simplebits.com does it with Javascript.
Click the coloured squares on the right of the main nav.

No it's something else they forgot to add; 'styleswitcher' is a often used little javascript file that will allow switching with links in IE6 et al

Although the simplebits code looks good but I have a feeling it's probably Paul Sowdens from the above link.

Nice link Hugo.
The cookies part is pretty neat, being able to come back to the site in the same colour that you left it.

Thanks all... and there was me thinking it would just be an option in an obscure IE View-> sub-menu that I hadn't found yet !

yes the cookie technique is good but I wish there was a way of achieving it without them, they have received a bit of a bad name in the past and I know people who tend to block them out of hand without realising how and why they are useful.

this styleswitcher.js at alistapart was making my sites flash in IE. IE was cycling through the different displays before it landed on the chosen one. so i starting using an open source ASP one that seems to work better for me. I can post if anyone's interested. i don't have the link handy here at work.
