1) IE doesn't accept my overflow: auto. It works fine in Mozilla/Netscape/Opera, but in IE all the text just runs off the page on all sides without showing any scrollbars.
Is that normal IE behaviour and is there a solution to that problem?

2) I have a stylesheet containing (among others):

a:link		{ text-decoration: none; color: rgb(94,94,94); font-weight: bold; }
a:visited		{ text-decoration: none; color: rgb(94,94,94); font-weight: bold; }
a:hover		{ text-decoration: none; color: rgb(94,94,94); font-weight: bold; }
a:active		{ text-decoration: none; color: rgb(94,94,94); font-weight: bold; }

Yet in Mozilla the a:visited works only the first time I open the browser. After that it shows a purple underlined link (standard).
What to do to solve that?
The weird thing is that in one file I have first an
<A HREF="JavaScript:mailto(........)">.......</A>
and a couple of lines lower an
<A HREF="......html" TARGET="mainFrame">......</A>

The first A HREF works perfectly, in the second, the visited link turns into the purple underlined instead of the a:visited specs given in the stylesheet.

Any ideas?
Advise appreciated.

hey..
to 1...don't know ^^ Have you defined a with for the element?

For 2, i would use

a  { text-decoration: none; color: rgb(94,94,94); font-weight: bold; }

instead of

a:link      { text-decoration: none; color: rgb(94,94,94); font-weight: bold; }
a:visited      { text-decoration: none; color: rgb(94,94,94); font-weight: bold; }
a:hover      { text-decoration: none; color: rgb(94,94,94); font-weight: bold; }
a:active      { text-decoration: none; color: rgb(94,94,94); font-weight: bold; }

This should work.

This is the code for 1)

#mainframe {
position: absolute;
top: 85px;
left: 150px;
margin: 0px;
border: 0px;
padding-top: 17px;
padding-left: 10px;
padding-right: 10px;
background: transparent url(../pics/main.jpg) fixed no-repeat top left;
width: 300px;
height: 365px;
border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(94,94,94);
border-right: 1px solid rgb(94,94,94); overflow: auto; }

So I think I've defined everything.
Yet, it refuses to work, but only in Mozilla.
