The topic says it all. NEWBIE! so pardon the question if it seems the answer is quite obvious.
I'm trying to use CSS with DIV tags to work the layout of a site (well not really a site but test page to see what can be done with CSS). I've got a banner thats 800px wide. Then below that i've 3 columns (100px - 600px - 100px) Nav Bar - Content - Some other thing. I've not set a height for any of these yet. I'm just letting the "content" set the height.
as you can see at http://www.vesselslane.com/css/css.html the center column will expand down the page but the two outer columns wont adjust to the centers new "height".
Is it there a way to link the 3 so that their height is always relative to each other?
(btw, my apologizes for the rainbow of color on that page I posted above.)
No luck
404 error at the link above and at vesselslane.com. Check out Glish for a 3-column layout: http://glish.com/css/7.asp
Good Luck
Newbie - Vertiical question
Yeah, my server took a dive friday night. We got hit with some major thunderstorms for about 8 hours striaght. As soon as I can get a hold of my buddy (he hosts my server for me since I configure routers and firewalls for him), i'll get it back up and running. You get what you pay for.
Thank you for the tip. I'll give that a go as well and if need be post back.
