Does safari not allow for styles to be applied to buttons. I have an input and buttons which are styled the same on IE 5, 5.5, 6, N6.2, N7 and Mac IE, Mac N7. Safari is the only one which has a problem with dispalying them as the same, instead it shows the button as its default mac style.

<p><a class="button" href="comparison_calc.jsp">Recalculate how much you'd save</a></p>

<p class="clear"><input class="button" type="submit" name="calculate" value="Calculate how much you'd save" /></p>

Any suggestions!

Styling buttons in safari

In a few words... no chance mate! Crying

Apple deemed it necessary to keep tight control on the design of form elements such as buttons. As so to keep the OS X style across their apps.

No work around I'm afraid. Don't even know if the 10.4 Tiger version will change this, I wouldn't expect it to.

The next sentence is true. The previous sentence is false. Discuss...
