This is my first post here (glad I found this place BTW!), and here is my problem:

www: index.html
css: hvasser.css

The navigation buttons on the bar at the top are moved 1px up or down in Opera and Mozilla browsers. In Camino a thin blue line appears under the whole bar. It looks perfect in Safari, and I don't know what it's like on a PC...

I know the problem is the mixture of table-layout with CSS buttons. How can I fix it without re-doing the whole site? I assume some CSS-'hacks' are needed to check for browsers, but I do not know which ones.

Have you tried giving a fixed height to the td's that the links are in?

Yes, probably a fixed height problem. The <td> gets a heigh as needed for the content, in this case the font. Make the font bit smaller and that should also solve your problem.
