I've read recently about the release of ASP NET 2 and I've seen it said that it's as much of an improvement on .NET 1 as .NET 1 was on ASP, which seems a pretty bold claim!
I've never used ASP.NET, and would like to ignore it and jump straight into ASP.NET2, so as an experienced ASP programmer who will be using C# (as opposed to VB) in his NET stuff what book do you recommend?

ASP.NET v2 book recommendation?
As a completely inexperienced (read, no experience), ASP person, I do know that ASP.NET 2 is someway off as of yet. XHTML/CSS standards support in current .NET technology is embarrassing. v2 will improve dramatically upon this apparently.
