I have a layout which has 2 floated columns nested in another floated div.
Works fine in FF and IE7 but in IE6 the 3rd column (far right) appears underneath the 2nd column. It's not the content of the column because I've stripped it out and it still does the same. Any Ideas??
doubled margins bug
Must be because margins get doubled on elements that are floated, which increases the div width and the layout breaks down. You can solve this problem by adding a display:inline for that offending div in your ie css file.
See 5. on http://scarfoo.com/archives/16.
Still no joy!
Thanks for the reply Rhuantavan,
but I still have the problem.
I've zero'd out all margins, tried the display:inline technique, floated left and right but still no change...totally flumoxed!!
I managed to put the right
I managed to put the right col in place by narrowing the #primarycontent a bit (to 470px). It goes about 15px over to the right column. Hope this does the trick!
Hey Rhuantavan, you the man!!
Cheers that fixed it, thanks a lot.
