I know there is a simple fix for this, can anyone see what I could be missing for

None of my backgrounds are working and my footer is not where t should be, In IE6 the content is pushing to the right blowing out the content area.

Yep. For a good, consistent display between browsers, you should start by fixing all the validation errors. Adding alt tags to all of your images, and closing them as below will help:
