Although I'm not a CSS newby, for some reason this has me presently stumped. I've got my background image for my body tag set to be attached to the bottom & right. It displays correctly in all browsers but FireFox. In FF it is all the way to the right, but only goes to the bottom of my initial wrapping DIV. Here's my declaration. Any help would be appreciated.
body {
background: #FFF url('images/bg.jpg') no-repeat scroll right bottom;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
text-align: center;
color: #555;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
}

rest of the code

Digital Salsa - WELCOME

You either don't have javascript turned on,
or you need to get the Flash Player plugin.
var fo = new FlashObject("salsa2.swf", "salsa2", "800", "600", "6"); fo.addParam("quality", "high"); fo.addParam("WMode","transparent"); fo.write("salsa2");

and for a visual, the url is:

http://www.clientresources.net/digitalsalsa/test2/test3.php

Could you possibly be bothered to include a doctype?

Uh, yeah. I didn't mean to include it here. How about trying it on your web page. Laughing out loud

After that run your page through the validator and let us know when you've got it ready to look at.

sorry... again

ok - i have to apologize up front. i build a couple of sites a week, and am not as concerned with validation as functionality. there are many sites that i build for my main client which cannot have a doctype included or they fall apart (because of some old javascript code they use as a core component of one of their services offered through their company--not my creation), so sometimes i forget to include the doctype out of habit.

also, i'm not used to asking for help, but rather giving it. i'm building this locally and only uploaded it as a reference, so I didn't think about re-uploading it after i included the doctype (which didn't help anyway). the positioning of a background image is extremely basic and should not be giving FireFox reflux. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know why FireFox would not push a background image to the bottom of the page as instructed? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone...Anyone?

Why did you want to put

Why did you want to put "scroll" with it. The image doesn't appear to look right if scrolled with the page.

Try changing "scroll" to "fixed"

BINGO!

Bingo! Thanks for the help. I've never had that problem before. Very strange. You would think scroll would produce the same results. Go figure. Thanks again for taking the time...!

I've never set that to either scroll or fixed and this is the first time I've noticed the problem with firefox. I guess i will have to remember to set this to fixed from now on instead of not specifying anything.

At least I got mine working too.
