SHOCKED - IE works fine but Mozilla doesn't

If you have elements floated left or right, and you put another element after this in the html code, it will float this to the right of all the other elements. Setting it to 'clear: both' clears the floated elements, effectively breaking it onto the next line.

The reason why it worked in IE and not in Mozilla is probably because you had a floated element nested inside a parent div. IE IMPROPERLY renders the parent div so that it stretches the div to totally encapsulate the floated element, but according to W3C CSS definitions, this is wrong. A floated element in taken out of normal flow and will expand beyond the borders of a parent element. Mozilla renders this properly. You can read more about it by going to http://www.positioniseverything.net/easyclearing.html
