Hi all,

I want to include the meta tags in my site for indexing in search engines.
It's an ASP page.

What i want to know is if you have to put them only on the default.asp page
OR
insert them on every page which I publish.

I don't want every page to be indexed. I only require my default page.

Cheers

Radith Silva

<META>

Hi radith,
You don't have to do anything Smile
It's a good idea to put meta tags on every page if they have meaning and are useful.
Unfortunately due to bad practices by people trying to get the best ranking, most search engines don't pay any attention to meta tags.

I think you should still use them specially on the page you want indexed.
Many other applications may make use of them.

I use meta tags to get descriptions of a site when adding links to http://www.csscreator.com/links/linkspage.php

Hope that helps
