Hey everyone,

I am in the looking of someone who could do css design work for an
open source project hosted on SF.

The web interface exist though it's required to improve different
design aspects and layouts of tables and other small things like that
as well as fix issues with IE compatibility.

It is not required that you are a guru of css, but rather that
you would be somewhat devoted to the project (meaning that you
don't disappear a week later Smile)

So if you're interested in joining our project and helping out
feel free to post any questions here which I will gladly answer.

I avoided mentioning the project name here so this wouldn't be
considered as advertisement or spam, unless one of the moderators
permits it. Otherwise you can private message me for further details.

Regards,
and many thanks.

Helping out? perhaps you

Helping out? perhaps you should elaborate 'helping out'. Being 'Open Source' is this help simply for the pleasure of coding Smile

As this is an 'Open Source' project I guess it's ok to elaborate further if you wish, but in the main keep discussions or offers constrained to PM's

Before you make your first post it is vital that you READ THE POSTING GUIDELINES!

helping out means...

Hey Hugu,

I have elaborated above what would be the tasks for a css designer in the project
and I think it's probably obvious anyway.

Were you referring to the 'employment' meaning?
The project is Open Source and is licensed under the GPL thus "helping out" means
joining the project as a css developer and being part of the team (this is not an
employment application, if I could pay I would, but remember it's gpled anyway Smile )

If you would like I can provide the project name and some links for better reference.

Regards.

daloRADIUS - RADIUS Management

Thanks Hugo.

So the project in topic is called daloRADIUS.
To quote from the SF page: "daloRADIUS is an advanced RADIUS web management application aimed at managing hotspots and general-purpose ISP deployments. It features user management, graphical reporting, accounting, a billing engine and integrates with GoogleMaps for geo-locating"

It is definitely one of the leading radius management applications, one out of a few only.
It's written in PHP and Javascript. We're 3 developers including me and we need someone
to do the css stuff (as we all pretty much suck in designing Smile )
Ofcourse, if you know PHP and Javascript too and would like to work on those areas
you are more than welcome.

Some links:
Web page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/daloradius/
Wiki page: http://daloradius.wiki.sourceforge.net/

Contact me if you're interested...

Regards,
Liran.

What sort of level of

What sort of level of involvement do you envisage, ie how many hours per week for how many weeks?

How to get help
Post a link. If you can't post a link, jsFiddle it.

just performing tasks

Maybe it came out wrong.
I'm not expecting any kind of "devotion" as in commitment to work X hours a day or a week.
This is a community project and every team member is volunteering to contribute his/her
skills to make this project better. I understand that everyone has their own life and probably
other projects they are working on so there are no deadlines in terms of hourly basis work.

With all that said, I'm committing almost regularly updates on the php side although
this is not relevant and definitely not a scale that you need to meet.
I'm only expecting that anyone who joins the team will take on the tasks and not "disappear"
a week later or so as I have seen these things happening already.

I'm not a CSS developer but I did make some changes in the current css layout and I
can evaluate that most of the tasks are really not too time consuming and complicated
so I'm sure that anyone who actually know css could probably work the current issues
kinda fast.

If there are more questions please ask away.
I'm hoping you will join the project Smile

Regards,
Liran.
