Hi All..

I am having difficulty getting html to appear on a new line when it comes after an aligned image in the document flow.

Here is a screenshot

http://magazine.foxybingo.com/imagealign.png

The page in question is http://magazine.foxybingo.com and here is an extract of the relevant HTML

What i want, is the div of class "sub_head" to appear on a new line. When the height of the image exceeds the text, the sub_head divs get put below the text..

I would be grateful of any suggestions, I realise this is not strictly a CSS question and more an HTML question. In view of this, I haven't included a CSS file.

thanks a lot in advance

It is exactly a css issue.

It is exactly a css issue. The html align attribute is treated as the css float property. You will want the <p> to contain the float.

#main #stories p, #headline div p {  /*style.css (line 89)*/
  overflow:hidden;
  padding:5px 0px;
  }

cheers,

gary

If your web page is as clever as you can make it, it's probably too clever for you to debug or maintain.
