Hi,

Built a site using xhtml strict at home where Im running win2000. Checked the site using IE5 and Firefox and it looked great. Uploaded it today and checked it from work where Im running XP with IE6 and Firefox and theres elements of the site that dont display. Basically there should be borders round all of the areas of the site adn theyre not displaying.

Ive validated the XHTML as Strict according to w3c so Im a bit confused as to why its not displaying.

Can people have a look and let me know what they see with what OS/browser. Or if they have any ideas why this happening.

TIA,
Doug

Borders rendering, however they are very light

I checked your site in IE6.0, IE5.5, and Netscape7.1 all on Windows 2000. They all appear to be rendering similarly, the borders are displaying however they are very light. Maybe a stupid question, but have you tried changing the border color to a websafe color? F0F0F0 is very light and does not render well with some display settings.

right on the money

Changed the colors and lo and behold, the borders appeared. Could well be that Im using a new flat screen here compared to my old and knackered, yet trusted monitor back home. Will take the advice about the light colors though. Damn shame, looked very subtle that way - bit too subtle methinks.

Cheers for your help
