I'm trying to set two background colors and i'm having problems. I want my whole page to have one color and I want the web content itself to have another (ie header/footer/mainwrapper) I've been searching high and low online for resources and help, but i haven't found any solutions. anyone care to help a gal out?

Here's the full code.

interesting issue

You want a background color for the header - but the header is only an image so background color is not relevant on any page width less than 749px. Same for footer. For fun, I decreased the width of the header and footer images and the background color surrounded them just fine.

'mainwrapper' contains text and the background color works just fine.

What you describe as the web content is a challenge since your example only had 3 divs in the body tag - header mainwrapper and footer. I inserted some random text between the divs and the body style background color worked fine there too.

Provide an example with some text like 'this should have a pink background', it'll help a lot.

Thanks! I played around some

Thanks! I played around some more with my coding. I added padding to my main content div and it seemed to fix the problem. Thanks! Smile
