Hi,

I'm working on an assignment and another of my group members designed this site so i can't answer any rational questions but i've struck a problem when i've been testing the site - it displays perfectly in firefox, ie7, opera and navigator but when i view it in ie6 the maincontent section drops to the same level as the bottom of the menu div. see here http://www.leapfrog.au.com/temp/ie6problem.jpg

The site can be found here http://astronomy.swin.edu.au/~bmcphee/
The css can be found here http://astronomy.swin.edu.au/~bmcphee/css/stylesheet.css

I haven't had a lot of experience with css and as stated above another group member designed it.

I agree with trying to make

I agree with trying to make the page validate first... but I come acrss this problem alot. The div is probably too wide for ie6. Try adding a ie6 specific style sheet using conditional comments and making the content div's width a little bit smaller.

"If you're still using ie5, you have bigger problems than not being able to view my website."
