Your markup is horrible, that's what the problem is (no offence).
You use markup like
<h1 class="sitetext"><span class="sitetext"><font color="#000000" class=""><img src="images/purbull.gif" width="10" height="10" border="0" alt="Experience the CHI sensation through your entire body!"></font>
Definition: chi also ch'i or Qi or qi (<a href="http://www.yourdictionary.com/ahd/pron/Q0001675.wav">click to hear the word</a>) <br>
The vital force believed in Taoism and other Chinese thought to be inherent
in all things. The unimpeded circulation of chi and a balance of its
negative and positive forms in the body are held to be essential to
good health in traditional Chinese medicine. [Chinese (Mandarin) qì,
air, spirit, energy of life.] <br>
<font size="1">From: <a href="http://www.yourdictionary.com/ahd/c/c0283025.html">The
American Heritage</a>® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth
Edition. </font></span></h1>
When you should have used something like:
<span class="sitetext">
<img src="images/purbull.gif" width="10" height="10" border="0" alt="Experience the CHI sensation through your entire body!">

and your CSS should read
.sitetext {
font: 10pt Arial, sans-serif;
color: #000;
font-weight: bold;
}
I'm not going to tell you how to fix the rest of the site, or do it for you, I'm going to let you figure it out.

Thank you for your help
I need a lot more time that I don't have right now to study this stuff and make corrections it seems.
Sincere Thanks,
Anna

Did you make the site in Frontpage, or Dreamweaver? I only ask as both of them put in a lot of useless code.
I didn't mean any offence, it's just there was a lot of deperecated stuff, and usless stuff. If you want, you can design the site and I'll just tweak the html and css for you so it's better.

Hi,
No offence taken
I designed the website in DW 4 and wanted to set it up initially w/ template but it appeared I could not change anything in the "head" section of the pages.
It took a long time to build and I feel like starting over with it when I get some free time which is waaay crazy! I think the SE would like all my nav links more if they were text and code was cleaner for sure.
I removed a few H1 tags that I hope helped but have no way of seeing w/out going to the dentist office and getting on their pc!
Feel free to contact me off list if you would like.
Thanks again for your assistance
