I can't seem to find the workaround for this problem. Everything right now is working fine. The columns display perfectly. What I want is the option leave a column blank, then have the middle column expand (more than the specified 60%) to have a margin of 0.
I've tried making margins on each side 0, it doesn't work.

.leftcolumn
{
float:left;
width:20%;
}
.middlecolumn
{
float:left;
background-color:Fuchsia;
width:60%;
}
.rightcolumn
{
float:right;
width:20%;
}
