Hi zeegee, I ran it through

Hi zeegee,
I ran it through litmus,
http://csscreator.litmusapp.com/pub/a1c8b37

The first thing I nnoticed is that half the menu is missing at 1024 X 768
At 800 X 600 you lose it completely.
That's a shame because it is a nice feature.

You have a few options, of course you could:
1. ignore it but that's not what anyone would recommend.
2. you could position the menu absolutely and have the content slide under it at small window sizes.
3. have the content scale based on the window size.
4. display the menu somewhere else as well so navigation is available to small screens.
5. think up some othe fantastic options Wink

The design is very pretty,

The design is very pretty, very attention grabbing. I've attached 2 screen shots of how it looks in IE7. Take a look at how your navigation gets cut off in a window smaller than 1024 px wide. This occurs in FF also.

I noticed that in IE, the swirly, flowery image on the right side is missing. I also noticed that you're using the browser to re-size the getfirefox.jpg image - this looks ugly and is a waste of bandwidth.

Lastly, the page does not validate. So that's something to work on.

Thanks for the reply.. I

Thanks for the reply..

I didn't think about the menu hiding like that. I'll have to Zindex that one..

I noticed in those images that the bottom footer which if you look at it in firefox.. is at the bottom..

It's at the top in IE ..

(its the black bar that runs across the top..)

any suggestions on how to place that at the bottom in IE?

Thanks again!!!
I'll be working on it

When it started loading up I

When it started loading up I thought this looks nice, then a very large blue banner it the top of the homepage, this is aweful.

The left hand menu is very nice, lacks any sort of content, get rid of that blue mess.

Will be interesting to see how it progresses

Nonsense! Design-wise it

Nonsense! Design-wise it works very well and I especially like your banner. Shows off your design skills. However, the way you've built your site does not stand up very well.

For example, what about if I have images switched off because I have crap dialup modem and I can't stand waiting for images to load - how do I navigate? Build for every person, whatever they're browser, whatever browser size, resolution and whatever their settings (css disabled, images disabled, large textsize in ie?).

Also, I opened it in IE6 and was very disappointed until I opened it Firefox which looked excellent. Both browsers render it so differently that it looks like a different site. For example, ie6 doesn't give you a transparent background on your menu - its an ugly blue box and green/blue leaf/twirl design on the right doesn't even feature on ie6.

You've got lots of issues there, but stick at it - looking good!
