This is my first layout, and I'm having trouble getting the nav bar to look right. In ie the images don't fit on the line, there is a small space in between the rows, there is a border around the images in FireFox and IE. Help please!!!

First off, your page does

First off, your page does not validate. Try correcting all those errors, and see if that doesn't improve the rendering of the page.

Using a DL as a navigation list is an odd choice. Is there a reason you didn't use a UL and LI structure? (The definition list should have a DD in addition to DTs.)

Try adding this style declaration to remove the border around your images.

a img { border: none; }
