Hi I am having some troubles with a bit of code in IE. I am using 3 images one for the top of the navigation bar, one for the middle and one for the bottom. The middle is set to repeat so it can be filled as much as I want ect. You will get the idea when you see the code I think. But where the top image comes to the center div/bg it has a small, about 5px gap in IE only. Here is my code, thanks for any help at all!
background-image: url(images/center.png); background-repeat: inherit;
Once again thanks a lot for any help!
Sorry but I can't reproduce
Sorry but I can't reproduce the problem with the code you have - we might need to look at a live link to understand fully what's going on
There is the URL, thanks again
Also, it is in IE7 that I am getting the problem, haven't tested IE6.
It's because you're using
It's because you're using inline foreground images, the gap is the baseline space reserved for the letter descenders 'y'
Set your images to vertical-align:bottom or display:block; however these sorts of graphics are better set as backgrounds.
Thank you that worked
Thank you that worked perfectly .
