http://www.ohiopreptalk.com/new/index.html

Got this template off of OSWD, and started to change it. I changed the left navigation bar to suit my website, and now, in IE, when the user clicks on anywhere in the content box, it automatically goes to the bottom of the page.

Any help with this? Thanks.

I am going to be attending The Ohio State University this fall as an incoming freshman, majoring in Computer Science and Engineering.

Go Bucks!

Site Check, especially IE

Hi OPTAdmin,
Try commenting out sections of your html like <!-- commented stuff --> to see if you can see what is causing the problem.

Hope that helps

Okay, I've figured it out.

In IE, when you click on the content box to the right, it automatically takes you to the username/password fields in the bottom right of the page.

Should I....

( A ) --- Ask you guys for a way to make it so the username/password fields don't take the cursor away?

oooor....

( B ) --- Put the log-in stuff in the upper right, so when the content area is clicked, it actually stays at the top of the page?

However... I still can't figure out WHY it won't just let me use the normal text cursor. It's staying as an arrow.

Hi OPTAdmin,
Ahah, I think I found it.
The way you are using labels is incorrect even though it is validating.

Quote:
Username:<label for="Username" /><br />

There is two ways you can use labels correctly.<label>Username:<input type="text" id="username" /></label>or <label for="username">Username:</label><input type="text" id="username" />
The way you were using was a cross between both and validated because the tag was closing itself.

Hope that helps

Nothing to do with your problem, more about the design of your site.

It's coming along very well, but I feel everything is too . . . big.

I think the font sizes should be notched down a bit, and the input boxes for login shrunk a bit.

Like the site... what about the content...

Hey I like the overall look of the site... couple small things...
I'm clicking the links on the left-hand nav and barely even noticed that the actual content... pulled from whereever is changing... needs some images someplace on the page so the user recognizes in fact it is a different page. The site appears to me to just be another link farm... sorry to say, maybe in fact it is original content... just my first impressions...
WHAT brought me to your post is ... What happened to OSWD.org it's vanished into thin air... that and my next favorite CSS w/ a forum site... styleGala.com... both just gone... damn alien's will prolly suck this site up for their own needs next... !!! Help!!!
