Greetings, i'm building this site http://www.innersanctuaryretreats.com/dev/pages/gallery.htm but i can't get horizontal scrolling images happening except in ie6 on pc, i need it to work on ie5 pc and mac plus Safari.

http://www.innersanctuaryretreats.com/dev/pages/gallery02.htm

http://www.innersanctuaryretreats.com/dev/pages/gallery03.htm

the above are more failed attemps. I've been looking up this problem for a long time becuase it would be usefull for many other sites too.

Does anyone know if it's possible or do i have to use frames? Shock

please help, many thanks

Are you looking for something like this

It's not what you do it's the way that you do it.

stunicholls

Hi Stu, thanks for your response Smile .

I've come across that site before on my quest but unfortunatly all that shows up on ie5.2 on a Mac is literally the background color (colour).

I assume ie5 ships with all Macs so it won't be acceptable for my client.

Maybe it really isn't possible? but it must be really

It should be possible to set the body and html height to 100% with overflow:hidden to get rid of the outer scroll bars then restrict the height of the content to 100% with overflow auto to add scroll bars to the content if required.

It's not what you do it's the way that you do it.
