http://www.idprojections.com/kk3d/index.php

Just a quick project I did for my father. Anyone have any suggestions?

I know after 3 ticks on the font size the nav jumps to the next line the bottom border overlaps words, but I don't think that will be a problem because the text is already fairly large, and by the first couple ticks the font gets pretty big.

Anyway, if you see any issues let me know and I will see if it's fixable.

One thing I am interested in is Macs with the top header if it is aligned correctly in Safari.

I wouldn't worry overly

I wouldn't worry overly about font resizing, at some point a layout must explode, and sometimes it just isn't possible to retain a perfect layout at large increases; your layout works fine up to three clicks I usually try and ensure things hold together for two, three quite often and thereafter gracefully fall apart but still be usuable.

If that worried about the links and underline then try setting a line-height on the #nav li{} of 1.7 as your links are single words you should be safe with a larger line height.

Not got the Mac booted at the moment but will look in a while if no one else has.

I wouldn't worry about the font-size increase since the default size is already big anyway. Nice work with the graphic up top, by the way!

I think you've done a rather nice job at an approach I generally dislike. Light text on a dark background generally drives me crazy, but with your chosen scheme and font sizes I'm fining your site quite readible, not to mention quite good looking. Tasteful use of graphics, I think.

Even works without CSS. Good job.

Checked in Camino and Safari

Checked in Camino and Safari and the graphic alignment seems fine, what isn't so great is that the line-height for the main text is too narrow with letter descenders touching to of next line, not sure why, might be a problem with my rendering but haven't noticed a problem like that before, if you havn't it might help to set line-height explicitely.

Thanks.

@ABCruz - Glad you think everything looks good

@Ed - Glad your old man eyes can read everything Tongue

@Hugo - I defined the line-height of both the #nav li and #content p, it now works fine with font resize and is "bullet proof" from where I stand, can you please look at Camino and Safari again and see if all the text looks good now?

Thank you guys for checking out the site...

One other question is we are going to be putting some animation on the page, in it's own section, the playing will of course be user initiated.

What is your preference in video? Would you prefer a inline flash video? a streaming wmv? putting a flash video in the greybox popup? a downloadable avi?

Any "proper" way of doing this? I am thinking I will go with the flash player in the greybox popup.

Yep paragraph spacing looks

Yep paragraph spacing looks better now in both Safari and Camino, clearly it needs stating to ensure x-browser normalising, which I normally do on the body so probably not noticed problems before.

Is Flash video not generally concidered best option if one can do it? I'm worrying here though I think I see a liking for moving picture boxes with you Smile

Can't say I like the un-initiated ones, but I have no problem with the ones that are asked for by the user.

But, I gotta pay for my addiction to sniffing newly made Persian rugs somehow.
