Validation results here:
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.caffeinefuelled.net%2F&warning=1&profile=css2&usermedium=all

CSS file here:
URI : http://www.caffeinefuelled.net/style/clean/blue1.css

From the validation:

Quote:

Line : 0 font-family: You are encouraged to offer a generic family as a last alternative

Which is all well and good, but I do specify a generic family for the body element:font-family:"Times New Roman", Times, serif;

So I really don't get what the warning is all about. :? Is serif supposed to be something else, or is there a bug in the validator?

CSS validator - warning, but why?

Is the validator case sensitive... might it be that it should be Serif rather than serif... just an idea? Shock

CSS validator - warning, but why?

It's the mono that w3c is objecting to.

This should be monospace (I believe).

generic font families are

serif, sans-serif, monospace, cursive and fantasy

It's not what you do it's the way that you do it.
So do it with STYLE

CSS validator - warning, but why?

Thanks stu, that appears to be the problem, checked the specs:

http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/fonts.html#propdef-font-family

I never even thought of the monospace, it really would help it they gave line numbers with that warning. I'll fix that when I get home and see what happens.

Thanks again, that one's been annoying me for a couple of weeks now lol. It's all dreamweaver's fault, tempting me with it's invalid auto-completion thing Evil
