I solve the first problem

I solve the first problem decreasing the margin-top value down to -290px; this is the right way? But in Mozilla the text "Noutati" is on the banner? Why?

i'm still stuck in problem #2; could anyone give me some help? The problem is that line.gif isn't displayed in Mozilla but in IE it works. Why?

And believe it or not

And believe it or not nerthus provided it, if you validate the page you will see an error and that error explains that you have used an ID twice on the same page. You'll need to change it to a class.

Let's stay at first problem.

Let's stay at first problem. It is correct to decrease so much the margin-top value? I have doubt about that...

Zanetti it's you who said

Zanetti it's you who said first problem solved, pushing the focus to the second

So back to the first no it's wrong to use the negative margins in this way your problem is that .menu and .continut are not correct, the .menu is flowed first then .continut is flowed second but floated right so it should be on the line below, you will need to either place .continut first in the markup flow or float the menu left, you also have used a left margin on .continut to clear the left .menu width this isn't required unless .continut isn't floated and the menu is, so you have choices to play with simplest being float .menu and ensure that all floats have approriate widths and watch the margins.

Back to second problem you need to sort this out! it won't be mentioned again, it's up to you and is simple to fix and should have been done when it was mentioned Smile

Hugo or anyone else, can you help me to fix that anoying problem? Please... I own you :blushing:

I dont think so that it's OK with margin-top value... the problem is that in Mozilla it looks OK but in IE6 the body is about 20px down from banner. Why?

'Flow' is the order in which

'Flow' is the order in which the actual html markup appears on a page, markup is read and rendered from top to bottom in order, floats are used to then affect the placement of certain elements in that flow.

You need to float both elements or float menu and simply use a left margin on the right content.

But #menu isn't floated is

But #menu isn't floated is it? and although the right side is floated you still have the margins at work, at least that's the case on the posted link to the page.

That's only the list-items,

That's only the list-items, not the list itself Wink
