website in reference

I want the entry text ONLY to have a white background with a border around that white area: like this (the lorem ipsum part).

I will be doing this site using MT so the problem will be that I can't set just the text part of the entry to do what I want b/c if I edit the entry to have a white background with a border then EVERYTHING (like the images) will have that style. How can I make it possible just to have the text part of the entry do what I want?

Hope this makes sense in my exhausted mental state.

If you are only expecting to use one paragraph in their, then you can give that paragraph an ID or class, in order to style as you want. However, I would expect that you'd use more than one paragraph? If so, then you'll need to wrap the paragraphs in a div. You could use code such as:

<div id="paraWrap">
<p>Lorem ipsum...</p>

...with the following CSS:

border: 1px solid #999;
padding: 5px;
margin: 10px;
background: #fff;

The next sentence is true. The previous sentence is false. Discuss...

HI there, not sure I understand what your after but can you not just define a class to use on the specific area i.e
p.whtbox{background: #fff; border: 1px solid #eee;}

Download Times*
Connection Rate Download Time
14.4K 138.11 seconds
28.8K 69.06 seconds
33.6K 59.19 seconds
56K 35.51 seconds
ISDN 128K 10.88 seconds
T1 1.44Mbps 0.94 seconds

*Note that these download times are based on the full connection rate for ISDN and T1 connections. Modem connections (56Kbps or less) are corrected by a packet loss factor of 0.7. All download times include delays due to round-trip latency with an average of 0.2 seconds per object. With 3 total objects for this page, that computes to a total lag time due to latency of 0.6 seconds. Note also that this download time calculation does not take into account delays due to XHTML parsing and rendering.

Analysis and Recommendations

# TOTAL_OBJECTS - Congratulations, the total objects on this page (including the HTML) is 3 which most browsers can multithread. Minimizing HTTP requests is key for web site optimization.
# TOTAL_IMAGES - Congratulations, the total number of images on this page is 2 . Most browsers can send multiple requests, which can speed display of multiple images.
# TOTAL_SIZE - Warning! The total size of this page is 178197 bytes, which will load in 35.51 seconds on a 56Kbps modem. Consider reducing total page size to less than 30K to achieve sub eight second response times on 56K connections. Pages over 100K exceed most attention thresholds at 56Kbps, even with feedback. Consider contacting us about our optimization services.
# HTML_SIZE - Congratulations, the total size of this HTML file is 2474 bytes, which less than 20K. Assuming that you specify the HEIGHT and WIDTH of your images, this size allows your page to display content in well under 8 seconds, the average time users are willing to wait for a page to display without feedback.
# IMAGES_SIZE - Warning! The total size of your images is 175723 bytes, which is over 30K. Consider optimizing your images for size, combining them, and replacing graphic rollovers with CSS.

Thanks for the help guys.

BTW I compressed the images like I should have in the first place and now.

Download Times*
Connection Rate Download Time
14.4K 15.56 seconds
28.8K 7.78 seconds
33.6K 6.67 seconds
56K 4.00 seconds
ISDN 128K 1.23 seconds
T1 1.44Mbps 0.11 seconds

Tiz a HUGE difference.
