Hi,

A website I am creating has a small glitch in IE and I wondered if anyone could help me resolve it. Basically, the list-style-image shrinks on rollout of the topbar nav. I have had a look through style sheet and can't see anything that would be causing the problem. This URL is www.adrpartnership.com.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Kind regards

Adie

Sorry the problem is not in

Sorry the problem is not in the nav bar but in the list-style images (in IE 6),these graphics should be bigger in size (look at it in firefox) and you should see the difference.

Cheers

Add this to your css property

Hey please add one more property in your css..this might solve your problem..

general_styles.css (line 372)

Instead of this>>>>
#rightCol li {
list-style-image:url(../_images/arrow.gif);
list-style-type:none;
}

Use this one>>>>
#rightCol li {
margin: 0 0 0 12px;
padding: 0 0 3px 0;
list-style-image: url(../_images/arrow.gif);
list-style-position:outside;
list-style-type: none;
}

this will work out in any broweser...
hammm...
thanks

Cant answer why your

Cant answer why your paths/ftping isn't working.

but the problem is probably not worth spending too much time on generally if not always , when placing custom bullets the background property is used on either the list or anchor, seldom if ever is list-style-image used as it's a little buggy and doesn't afford the control over positioning that background does.

list-style-position:outside is the default so simply removing :inside; should sort out any problems there you may also be clipping the image if not enough left margin or padding on the list (sorry not looked in detail )you may simply be loosing the image outside the ul the padding /margin may help, position relative on the ul may help, as might testing for hasLayout with zoom:1; on various elements from the ul in.

Most of all I would loose the list-style-image in favour of the background property.

I experienced a very different thing here...

hi,
i experienced a very different thing here..is that when I minimized my browser the bullet were showing as if they were shrinked..& if I refresh, it shows..then I tried removing the new background position: outside property the reult was the same...the bullets were showing properly..

i mean even not giving this property the bullets were showing as they should be, just the minimize maximize problem...so I am confused even if the above property is working or not...& Hugo as you said instead of using "list-style- image" it is always better to use the "background-image' property...
thats for sure...

thanks n regards
suraj..
