Okay, I just recently downloaded Moz Firefox v0.9 (I'm an IE/Win guy all the way), and I just have to say that my website exploded.

In order to conform to other browsers, is it pretty much necessary to make the site accessible to other browsers, and then hack your way into making it look good in IE?

More or less, yeah.

I design primarily for Firefox, which then translates well into Opera and NN. Then hack it up so it displays properly in IE.

The problem is, I don't really know what doesn't work in Firefox, but works in IE. Is there a link to anything that might give a heads-up warning about what not to use, so I can shy away from that stuff?

Hi OPTAdmin,
Install the Web Developers extension for firefox then you will have access to tools such as "edit CSS" which lets you make changes to the css live, and "View Style Information" which helps you target specific items.
You could also look at http://www.csscreator.com/attributes/ which helps you find what CSS properties work in what browsers.

Hope that helps

I usually design for Firefox and then check my design every so often in Netscape, Opera, and IE. Most often then not it's flawless across Firefox, Netscape, and Opera but mangled in IE. That's when you introduce the hacks so that IE supports it.
