Hey Guys!

I am new to this forum so hello to all of you Smile

I am working on a site for the student union at my university, and I just can't get the CSS styling right, I have taken the "Onion skin" drop shadow code from http://www.ploughdeep.com/onionskin/360.html and modified it a bit.

But I keep getting this strange border at the bottom of my page, I really have no idea how to get rid of it, please see here:
http://www.dietistsektionen.se/v2/index.html
(I have stripped all other CSS except for the drop shadow code by removing the external css style file)

Do you guys have any idea what I have done wrong? :shrug: Would be really happy if anyone could help me out!

It's in css

This css causes the border to appear...

.box {
26 padding: 0px;
27 background: #FFFFFF;
28 border: 1px solid;
29 border-color:#ccc #999 #999 #ccc;
30 width:808px;
31 /*
32 width:808px;
33 */
34}

check it once...

you haven't removed the css propery...

hi,

You have not removed some properties from ".box" class...
You do not need that class itself...so even if you remove this class completely...your problem is solved

sorry to say but this is very simple
thanks

Are you talking about the

Are you talking about the red border around the whole page?

It comes from this:

html, body { margin: 0px; padding:0px; border-color: red; }

which isn't in your stylesheet, it's written into the head of your page along with a bunch of other stuff that should probably be moved to your stylesheet.

Thanks for taking time to reply!

Suraj: Do you mean like this? http://dietistsektionen.se/v2/index_nobox.html
If not please show me what code you mean, the border is still there.

Tyssen: I put the red border just to make sure that was not what was causing it. Below the page there is supposed to be only a shadow, however, below the shadow a border appears. I have marked it on this photo. Any ideas?

(whole screenshot is here: http://www.dietistsektionen.se/v2/border.jpg)

Thanks again for your time,

Please see

Please put this url in the....
http://dietistsektionen.se/v2/meny2.css
you muct have attached this css to your html file..

& find this (.box) class
You will find this code
.box {
padding: 10px;
background: #FFFFFf;
border: 1px solid;
border-color:#fff #999 #999 #ccc;
}

so replace it with this way...or remove the border properties

.box {
padding: 10px;
background: #FFFFFf;
/* border: 1px solid; border-color:#fff #999 #999 #ccc; */
}

use this firfox plugin to correct your pages...

I still see the border even without borders in the .box class - could you perhaps please show me the full code if you can make it look right?

Firebug, what a neat little program! Smile
