CSS footer

hi:

I'm putting together a template, you can check it out in Site check, and I need to figure out how I'm going to work the footer....

I want it to flow down to the bottom of the page, like it would in a table (for pages with lots of body text) and for short pages I want it at the bottom of the viewport.

what's the most current/best approach people are using for this?
