Hello,

I've been having lots of trouble changing the color of the links in Myspace to color white. I know it sounds easy but it is not working for some reason. The Myspace is supposed to have black background with all the text and links white. Any help would be GREATLY appreciate it, I have spent a week trying to figure out the problem and couldn't. I have taken code from a customizer and configured it to my liking.

I have attached links to what an original myspace looks like and what My currently looks like and what it is missing.

I'm waiting for the code to

I'm waiting for the code to load now. And it's in CSS isnt it?

The correct CSS thing would be the below.

Replace:
{font-family:; color:FFFFFF; font-size:; font-weight:;}a:active, a:visited, a:link

with
a {color:FFFFFF}
a:visited {color:FFFFFF}

or you can try

a:link {color:}
a:href {color}

I'm not sure

BP

Just seeing if this forum accepts all html tags

That should be: a {color:

That should be:

a {color: #FFFFFF} a:visited { color:#FFFFFF}

except that if you specify a { }, you don't need to specify the other states unless they're to be different from the normal state. They also need to be in this order:

a:link
a:visited
a:hover, a:focus
a:active

Post a link. If you can't post a link, jsFiddle it.

They were 2 different

They were 2 different examples.
a {color:}
a:visited {color:}

Meant to be two different examples, If you look at his code, he has all of them (visited, link, etc) defined as white, so just the "a" should do it.

Hi I have tried all of your

Hi I have tried all of your combinations of your code and took out mine "{font-family:; color:FFFFFF; font-size:; font-weight:;}a:active, a:visited, a:link."

For some reason after I put in all of your guys code all of the links in the webpage turn back to their original color Blue but the part that I need changed "interests, music, movies part) still stays black.

Plus when i enter in

a {color: #FFFFFF}
a:visited { color:#FFFFFF}

my space compiler turns it into

a {color: #FFFFFF}
a:visited { color:#FFFFFF}

Any other ideas or hints why this might be happening?

Nothing happened when i tried

a {color: #FFFFFF} Sad

I heard that myspace does not use CSS style sheets or something different. But this information is probably wrong.

Hey,I'm sorry that I

Hey,

I'm sorry that I haven't been on for a while i had no internet access.

I put in your code "{color: #FFFFFF}a" and let it compile. Nothing happened.

I know that HTML or CSS code supposed to work I just can't figure out why it's working for everything else but that section of the links. When I try to change all the links color the every link like to my friends, or comments section changes but "interest" section stays the same. I assume it is seperated somehow.

No Pound Symbol

Can't use pound symbol when coding in myspace, that might be your problem, just try getting rid of your pound it should still change the color.

nothing really happens

nothing really happens though, for some reasons where the interest section is only the commas and the paranthesis turn white but the words are still black.

solved hopefully ;)

:thumbsup:

Hi,

Its all a case of addressing the right bit of the css...

In the case of that which you require....

simply add in these and play about with them... if they be search links that is

a.searchlinkSmall:link{color:ffffff}
a.searchlinkSmall:active{color:ffffff}
a.searchlinkSmall:visited{color:ffffff}
a.searchlinkSmall:hover{color:ffffff}

You should change the color to that twhich thou so desireth.

Please Try this and repost here whether it works or not for you and i can help..

bye m8 Wink

The order of pseudo-classes is important. Yours is wrong. It should be link, visited, hover|focus, active.

But does it work in myspace

But does it work in myspace for the interests area??? :thumbsup: && Cool

Try it you might like it, simply add the code somewhere and the colors of the interests area text links etc will be at your command.

And as far as i am aware, as long as hover comes after link and visited they function...

(And in this context, all colors same, it is irrelevant) but yes i acknowledge that active should be at the end.

so :bigoops: wrong wrong wrongy wrong :jawdrop: doh.

:? Pity no one }:) else bothered to help :curse: this person though. :shrug: mr . wise m o d e r a t o r .... Wink

with correct myspace code. that is -edit-

Correct Myspace code is not correct code though :curse:
