I am revamping a section of an html website using a "sliding doors" technique for colored tabs. In most browsers if works like a dream, but not IE 5&6. Any thoughts?

It uses a css section in the HTML— They don't want to abandon the HTML setup yet. I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

Here are some screenshots

Screen shots show the problem in IE browsers:

IE 5 and 6: the left/top div (.r1f through .r8f) does not float over the top as it should.
IE 6: in this browser (explorer screenshot) there is also a backwards movement of the left/top div, like it is retreating 2px with every instance.

This page works like a charm in IE7, ff, opera, safari, and camino.

Any thoughts?

please use <code> tags

please use <code> tags instead of brackets. and links are very much acceptable (except perhaps from new users with very few posts) and welcome.

edit// I just realized this a repost of the same question in another subforum. Please do not do that.

Np idea why you posted this

Np idea why you posted this twice, and no idea why you posted in Site Checks.

Stick to the other thread.
