Everytime I validate my CSS the only error that comes up is this...

"Value Error : display inline-block is not a display value : inline-block"

It comes from the clearfix code here:

.clearfix:after {
content: ".";
display: block;
height: 0;
clear: both;
visibility: hidden;
}

.clearfix {display: inline-block;}

/* Hides from IE-mac \*/
* html .clearfix {height: 1%;}
.clearfix {display: block;}
/* End hide from IE-mac */

Any idea how to fix this? I think the display: inline-block was necessary to clearfix...

It depends which version of

It depends which version of CSS you're validating to. It's not in CSS2 but it is in CSS2.1.

How are you validating? passing the url to the validator? via FF 'tools''validate css'? in which case (if it's not updated ) you can adjust the argument 'profile=css21'

Problem Solved

Ahh yes, that is the problem. I am using the Web Developer (1.1.4) tool bar and in the options although it is set to validate according to CSS 2.1 in the url that it sends it says "http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css2&warning=2&uri=http://www.whatever.com" instead of "http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css21&warning=2&uri=http://www.whatever.com" so something is wrong with the program and there are currently no updates available for it. I use a Mac so I'm not sure if this is the case with PC, but I don't think that should be a factor.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

You can change the URL

You can change the URL yourself; just go to the options for the extension.
