I'm trying to use an <UL> with CSS, but the bullets don't appear for my client who's using IE/Windows. http://www.ericwagner.com/nhf/np_modules/p1_1a_x4.html
(The bullets show up for me on my Mac)

I tried specifying an image as a bullet:

The bullet image appeared briefly, then disappeared for my client. Even if I can get this approach to work, I also need to use an <OL>, and for that, the numbers don't appear.

I'm stumped. Any help would be appreciated.
Here are the style sheets used for the first and second links, respectively:

UL Bullets don't appear in IE/Windows

THe bullets look the same to me in IE and Mozilla. But I noticed this on your style sheet

list-style-image: url(bullet.gif);

If it is an attached sheet I though you needed

list-stlye-image: url(../Folder/bullet.gif);

However when I tried this Mozilla had a problem with body styles (ie not class or id) so I had to put them in the page itself, not an attached sheet for IE and Mozilla and Netscape to use them.

But I have an issue with the placement I am trying to work out.

I am new to this so I hope I did not confuse you with my lack of the terminology.

UL Bullets don't appear in IE/Windows

thanks josh,
do you work in Windows, or on a Mac?

what's really driving me nuts is how make the bullets appear without an image. if I can resolve that, then hopefully that fix would also apply to the missing ordered list numbers.
