hello..
i have in my site 3 colums. in the middle one box, and in the right and the left 2 (2 in each). if you take a look here http://www.streamkid.de/~alex/images/new_site.jpg, this is how i wanted it to show. if you visit though, http://www.streamkid.de/~alex/, it messes the second boxes in right and left column. i want these boxes to be some pixels bellow the boxes that are bove them. how to i achieve this?

tia, streamkid

I can't help you because

I can't help you because your fonts are so teensy-tiny that I can't read your page let alone tell what's wrong with it? Do you purposly intend to drive us older folks away from your site? :curse:

Ed is quite right, 11px is

Ed is quite right, 11px is roughly equivalent to 8.25pt type and that's entirely too small for anything but the fine print in a MSFT EULA.

Due to the small font, anyone willing to hang around and read what you have to say, will enlarge the font to a more comfortable size. That will break your page. The reasons it willl do so lie in the way absolute positioning works. Read this, http://csscreator.com/node/11291 for more background. After that, Search for "css layouts". There are many tutorials lying about. Rebuild your page layout without absolute positioning, and come back with the problems you bump into.

As a general rule, insert php variables into the html rather than having the php write/echo the html. If you're looping, do take care to format well. For most debugging you will need to work from the server output. If it is poorly formatted, your job will be considerably more difficult. Always aim for human readable source.

cheers,

gary

If your web page is as clever as you can make it, it's probably too clever for you to debug or maintain.
