I'm building a site for a client, and was going to use OsCommerce for his e-commerce solution. However, I'm new to CSS and web standards, and have built this site up until this point all web standards. My question is this: Is it worth going for a web standards compliant e-commerce solution, or would I be better off sticking with something like OsCommerce?

And if it's worth going web standards for a shop, are there any reccomendations of a particular shop?

Nalif the questions fair

Nalif the questions fair enough and I'm sure someone will chip in with some thoughts shortly but could you please think before you post your questions and select the appropriate sub forum, this is the second time in the space of an ~hour I've had to move your posts. Smile it's another question that has little to do with 'Beginners CSS' which deals specifically with CSS coding.

Does anyone here have any experience with CubeCart? It seems to be easily customizable, and it seperates design from content. It also claims to use valid CSS/XHTML.
