I don't know if anyone can help with this little annoyance that I have with my site www.kidderminsterharriers.com .

On this page, for example, www.kidderminsterharriers.com/harriers/newsstory.php?storyID=15 there is the headline "Three More Sign Up". It is written as an <h2> heading and styled as white text on a black background; in both Opera and IE the black background takes up almost the whole width of the white <div> it is enclosed in. This is how I want it to be.

However, on THIS page, www.kidderminsterharriers.com/harriers/player.php?Player=10 the words "Ian Foster - striker" should appear in the <h2>; in Opera it is fine but on my computer in IE it doesn't appear until I left click and drag across the text to select it and then it only appears as the width of the text. On another computer I tested it on, it appeared straight away but was only the width of the text.

The stylesheet in use is here, www.kidderminsterharriers.com/home.css although the problem occurs in a similar fashion whichever stylesheet is in operation. I can't see what I have done differently from one page to the the other to cause the headings to stop working properly.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Problem with &lt;h2&gt; and IE

Thanks for that. I'd never heard of that bug before.

I seem to have fixed it by using a "position: relative" rule on my <h2>
