hello if you check out my site at http://www.andrewjhaller.com/newaustins/ you will notice a gap about 20 pixels high at the bottom. i have exhausted myself trying to figure out what i'm doing wrong, and was wondering if anybody out there had any input.

the page validates as xhtml 1.0 strict and css2. i have not debugged the page for internet explorer, but i am using firefox, and therefore i see my problem in firefox.

can somebody please help?

didn't look at the code, but

didn't look at the code, but personally i'd be more interested in knowing why i had a horizontal scroll bar.

Not a mysterious gap!

Not a mysterious gap! entirely normal.

You have failed to contain floats ,add overflow:hidden to #middle-container and you have 'Collapsing Margins' at work on the #footer p element, zero the bottom margin on the 'p'
